Plants, Brain and Imagination: Poetry Workshop
SciPo is an annual meeting of scientists and poets to explore the creative common ground between poetry and science. It was founded by Jenny Lewis and Sarah Watkinson and is supported by St Hilda’s College.
‘Plants, Brain and the Imagination’ at the Botanic Garden and St Hilda's is a special event of the 2019 TORCH SciPo Network. It is organised by Elsa Hammond and Sarah Watkinson, and supported by The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities Oxford Botanic Garden and St Hilda’s College. This event is run by poets, Dr Elsa Hammond, Lecturer in English at St Hilda’s College, and Dr Sarah Watkinson, Emeritus Fellow in Biological Sciences at St Hilda’s College.
10.30-12.00 Explore the Botanic Garden with Sarah and Elsa, discussing seasonal plants and poetry.
12.00-12.45 Lunch (please bring a packed lunch).
12.45-15.00 Poetry workshop at St Hilda's College, with tea and cake.
