St Hilda’s College invites applications for a Career Development Fellowship in Comparative Politics for four years from 1 July 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post-holder will be required to engage in research, to offer an average of 6.5 hours per week tutorial teaching for the college in the field of comparative politics, and to play a central role in Politics and joint degree admissions and subject administration at St Hilda’s. Applicants will have completed a doctorate but be at an early stage of their academic career, and should have some relevant teaching experience. There is no possibility of renewal beyond four years.

The appointee will be paid on a scale from £32,817 (point 1) to £35,845 (point 4) per annum (University Grade 7, current rates), depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive a research allowance of £1,800 per annum and access to a student entertainment allowance of £400 per annum. The appointee will be a member of the Senior Common Room, entitled to all meals in St Hilda’s College.
