Sport at St Hilda's
In recent years, St Hilda's has been successful in a variety of sports, including rowing, netball, rugby and football. See pictures from recent events in our Photo Gallery.
The the biggest achievement of 2017 for St Hilda's College Boat Club (SHCBC) was when the Men’s 1st boat achieved blades in Torpids and Summer VIIIs. In Torpids 2017, the M1 crew gained five positions in four days, bringing the crew one division higher into Division IV. The squad has grown substantially in recent years and five boats were entered into Summer VIIIs for the first time since 2011. SHCBC entered four novice boats into Christ Church Regatta, the most the club has ever entered. The Women's 1st novice eight reached the quarter finals of the competition.
St Hilda’s Women’s Football Team made it through to the third round of Hassan’s Cup 2017 after an impressive 5-0 win over University College. The team was promoted from the third division and reached the quarter finals of Cuppers.
In the same season, St Hilda’s Men’s Football 1st team had impressive wins over Trinity College (6-2), and University College (5-0). The Men’s 1st team also made it through to the quarter finals of Cuppers.
